You know the feeling—you’re going to a wedding “stag,” and everyone else at your table is married. Or so you think. You end up seated next to another single, and the conversation starts to flow easily. Pretty soon, you wonder whether you haven’t known your neighbor for some time.

Transpose that romantic scene into a musical milieu, and you have the first meeting of what became the ensemble you now see before you. From the first moment Kory Cook, David Lutes, and Larry Schooler met at Toulouse Lab in the fall of 2004, their musical chemistry electrified their space. It seemed immediately clear that their first jam session marked the beginning of a beautiful relationship. That relationship has borne its first fruit: “Three Piece Suit,” a jazz combo loyal to its genre’s roots while anxiously exploring that same genre’s limits and redefining its very essence.

We invite you to explore the work of “Three Piece Suit” on both traditional standards and original compositions. “Three Piece Suit” is available for both private parties and public concerts. We look forward to creating just the right ambience for you.
