Born February 1974 Newton, IA Resides in Austin, TX. Following in the drumbeats of his father, Kory began his career at age 10 playing the drums in the family band. Mom on keys and vocals. Brother on guitar. Twin sis on sax.

After numerous cafeteria stints in high school bands, Kory secured the drum throne in the Oklahoma State University Jazz Band's small combo group Stratus Jazz, and toured the west coast.

Upon graduation in 1996, Kory's journey to Austin, TX put him in touch with Texas garage rock kings the Sons of Hercules. Between shows and tours throughout the States and Europe with the Sons, Kory performs with a wide assortment of Austin jazz artists.

Since 2000, his focus on the study and performance of improvisation in jazz has taken him to New York City for attendance at various jazz workshops. Kory also brings his jazz chops to the local soul-drenched all-star group the Bloody Tears for the band's 2005 release Downhanded.

From traditional polka to punk rock, Kory immerses himself in all things music as a drummer, but finds himself at home as the drummer for Three Piece Suit.
